Serving God Unconditionally - John 6:1-2; 25-29

Our services and relationship with God should not be based on our needs or expectations. But today, many go to God with conditions attached. To some, they feel they can compel God, or trick Him into attending to the desires. Nevertheless, this is one of the reasons many requests and expectations have lingered.
This attitude shows the absence of faith, pretense, selfishness, and not having heaven in mind. To some, they have chosen to seek the devil willingly for help, as soon as they ran out if patience.

In verse 26 of chapter 6 in the book of John, Jesus replied by tell "them" that its because of bread and fish they seek Him. Brethren, this is a challenge to ALL, if your relationship with God is based on your needs, you are wasting your time. We have been told before now to seek first the KINGDOM of God and His righteousness, and EVERY OTHER THING shall be given to us, including those things we least expect.

Services to God these days have become what many do at their spare time. This is common in the Eastern and Southern part of our country Nigeria. In the North now, those who are serving God are doing it with the consciousness that they can die anytime considering the level of persecution over there. So for some to still go to church knowing that they could be attached and killed any day, shows that they are sincerer in the relationship with God. But those who are not being challenged as those in the North are sleeping, fighting one another, and working against the household of God.

We should blame ourselves in all that we suffer, for He owes us nothing because we have refused to concur to the reasons for His blessings. Waiting upon Him with deceitful heart is a waste if time and resources, and in due time will be detrimental. Seeking God pretentiously and without regarding His ordinances is illegal and provocative. This question is for us all to answer: Do you put off the light and expect to have bright vision in a dark room?

Until you stop living as the World lives, your expectations will not gain attention. The lack the boldness to confront your challenges is as a result of impure relationship with God. He will not bless you so that you can glorify His name or share testimony, in exchange of His ordinances. Remember, before the creation of man, He has been God, and can raise stones in place of man. Have we forgotten that God sacrificed His only Son for our sake? Why is it that we can't sacrifice THOSE THINGS as to gain His attention.

The bible told us that God's hand is not shortened, neither is He deaf, nor blind, but that our unrighteousness is the reason for our bad experiences. And to those that are upright in their relationship with God, after you have been tried, you will come forth as GOLD for God is with you.
