The Dynamics of Church Growth - Rev. 21:3

The following factors need to be considered in relation to Church growth. The vertical and horizontal growth factors need to be balanced. This has to do with the relationship with God (Vertical) and the relationship with the members of the Church (Horizontal).
God owns the Church and uses Church leaders (Pastors) to bring increase. And for the Church to grow, their MOST be cordial relationship with God and the people.

Every Church has one or more mandates given to them by God. Some are with the mandate of fasting and prayers, deliverance, teaching, prophecy etc. Thus, any Church without a God's given mandate is doing another man's work, or is not recognized by God. The greatest problem of the Church comes when "Leaders" loses direction and are depending on their own ability. They are no longer in tune with the assignments given to them.

When the vertical growth factor is strongly established, the horizontal factor will be affected positively. Lack of God's direction in doing His will, is the reason many Churches don't enjoy numerical growth. If a church must grow, the word of God and its proper understanding is highly required. It is an internal growth ingredient for everyone that is working for God ... Josh. 1:8When you are not updated about the happenings in the world as to balance it with the word of God, it will be difficult to get followers. People need leaders who know their environment and situation, and use the word of God to bring hope to their lives.

As leaders , we must be ready to follow up and fill the gap in the lives of others. The quality of the Church can be seen in her welfare. Many have left towns union, clubs and other societies and have joined the church, yet they lack recognition. The packaging systems of the Church should suite and cement the gap between the leaders and the people (For example a dirty church toilet can scare people from fellowship).  The way you care for one person can send strong signals to other to respond. The follow up strategy should be the work of everybody because it is not a departmental assignment.
The Church programs should fall in line with the needs and situations affecting the environment. Time management and tune-spirit is also important. The quality of personal in Church administration is very important. Training and personal development should be constant. Having the right point-men is very key, and selections should be made in accordance to divine direction.

The mistake of praying amiss is another thing that hinders Church growth. Praying for money is wrong; rather asking God for men who will be used to provide money is the correct thing to do. Having the right men will grow the Church faster. Sharing the vision of the Church with the workers and motivating them is very important if the Church must grow. They are the ones to extend the plan of the Church to others, so you need to carry them along in all things. The people are more important than your programs, if you care for them, they will help you accomplish your vision.

The Church should have project plans, which must be well understood, and constantly evaluated. And it must enjoy the place of prayers and fasting. The Church must be sited where God has ordained it to be built. Wrong location and wrongly planting of any Church is dangerous. So we need to seek the face of God, and for approval before acquiring any site for worship. The Church must be within reach, accessible, and must be accepted by the people around.

The Church must be a future Church. They must always see how to grow and develop the people. This is the reason many the world is coming into the Church and taking over the Church.
